"It’s time for people who have felt powerless and outside of the system to fully participate. After the last election cycle, I felt compelled to run. I’ve always been a citizen-activist, fighting for fair housing, organizing for workers’ rights, social and economic justice, working with AIDS/HIV education, protesting apartheid, and both Gulf Wars.
The vibrancy of Ward 10 is very near and dear to my heart. Serving on the City Council would provide a great opportunity to have an immediate, positive impact on the quality of people’s lives. I am ready to step up to the plate to represent the collective voice of the people–to bring your voice in the room. You can count on me to lead because of my lifelong commitment to social action.
Social change is my life’s mission
and I have miles to go before I die."
